Marketing in Covid-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has proven to be one of the most drastic cases which have hit humans across the globe. In the wake of Covid-19, many people, communities, and organizations had taken a step ahead to contribute to society. Above all, educating the society about the dangers of the pandemic is very essential. Unfortunately, businesses and economies have greatly taken a fall against the pandemic but it wouldn’t be for too long. The businesses and economy will revive soon.

1. MakeMyTrip
MakeMyTrip- is an online travel aggregator company. It has introduced ‘MMT Assured and MySafety- Safe and Hygienic Stays’. This aims to help the customers to select the safest properties for their vacation stay. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to two varied kinds of traveller: one who is afraid, others who are eagerly waiting for a getaway.
2. Headspace
Headspace is a company in the healthcare industry that specializes in meditation. Many people have spoken of mental issues, illnesses, and a ‘claustrophobic’ feeling settling in the minds during the pandemic. In order to relieve people of mental stress, the company did the best. They provided peaceful meditations to cope with stress. Additionally, a new tagline was introduced ‘Headspace is here for you’.
3. Gaana
Gaana, a commercial music streaming application had initiated “play music, save lives”. For every song played by a user, Gaana contributes to India’s Relief Fund.
4. Dettol
Dettol, a United Kingdom company by Reckitt Benckiser had started the #HandWashChallenge. Undoubtedly, there is a general interest in encouraging people to stay safe, simultaneously helps the brand’s marketing.
5. Lifebuoy
Lifebuoy is a Unilever brand that had also created the online campaign of #LifebuoyKarona. Majorly the brand wanted to motivate people to wash hands and spread the word, not germs.
